How it all began...
We were a tiny Café, with a big heart and a passion for good food using locally sourced ingredients. An off-the-beaten-track little foodie hotspot since 2018 by the Sett Valley Trail in the High Peak.
Sett Valley Kitchen was born out of the café’s success and is home to Live & Let’s Pie.
The café grew faster than we could have ever imagined. Then came COVID — a moment that changed everything. Instead of slowing us down, it sparked something new. We needed more room to keep up with demand for our homemade, locally sourced offering. So, we moved our baking and prep operations into the former pub kitchen at the Old Torrs Pub on Market Street, New Mills — now home to Millers Refillers, the Zero Waste shop.
This is where the magic happens — trays of cakes cooling, quiches golden from the oven, and our signature Live & Let’s Pie creations being crafted with care. It is from here that we supply various other local establishments that share our love for quality and provenance.
Sett Valley Café is now Emma’s Sett Valley Café.
I couldn’t have dreamt of selling it to a better person. It continues with the same passion for great food and community and is still the go-to destination for excellent coffee, homemade favourites (made by us), and service with a smile. Go and say hello…
